Construction Update

The project is progressing smoothly with a significant amount of progress over the last three weeks. The superintendent for Opechee, David Jobin, is doing a great job on the project. He has been able to push the right trades at the right times to make up for the poor weather of the summer, leaving us a little ahead of schedule. The framing is almost complete on the second and third floors, with sprinkler and electrical rough in already started. Using a gang system, which speeds erection time, the roof trusses are currently going up quickly. The equipment cost is a bit higher but is saved on schedule and labor.

Major Owner Direct items have already been purchased to get the project well ahead of the curve... including laundry, kitchen, high speed Internet, telephone systems, FF&E install, tel/data cabling, background music, case goods, and guest room appliances. Since the team of contractors had such a great experience with the Mystic Hampton Inn & Suites project, pricing had been very favorable and the same success will be replicated.
