Overall Update

The project is now moving toward completion and final installations of materials are underway. Finishes are complete in guest rooms and guest baths and carpet installation has commenced. Hotel Operations has begun the procurement of operator material and is preparing to move into the hotel on April 1, 2009. We anticipate being open by early May 2009.

The procurement of all furniture fixtures and equipment is nearly complete, with a majority of the goods currently in storage awaiting installation. Early installation of furniture, particularly the guest room headboard hardware, will commence this month to further the efficiency of the schedule.

On the operations side, all department heads have been hired with the exception of the Chief Engineer. We have a final candidate here and expect to make a decision within the next week or so.

New pictures should be added the week of March 2nd.

Construction Update

For site work, only landscaping, final pavement, and striping remains. The only other exterior work to be done are the porte-cochere soffits.

Guestroom vinyl wall covering is complete on the second and third floors - roughly 3 weeks ahead of schedule. The guest bath vinyl is anticipated to arrive mid January and to be completed in 2 weeks. Vanities and granite will start immediately after installation of the VWC on a floor by floor basis. The tub surrounds are complete on the third and fourth floors. Overall, the guestroom and guest bathrooms are running 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule.

Water heaters and mechanical units have arrived and been arranged in the mechanical rooms.

The Hampton Inn sign on the building is now installed.

Major purchases of FF&E and OS&E will commence in January

Operations Update

Kevin Walker has been selected as General Manager. Kevin has been the Assistant General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in Portsmouth, NH since just before its opening in 2006. Kevin's official start date in Nashua is January 15.

We have secured temporary office space close to the hotel for pre-opening.

The big news is that we have hired a Director of Sales - Kelly Klopp. Kelly has held the title of Director of Sales at two different hotels, as well as 5 years experience in Catering Sales & Event Management. Kelly also spent much of the year as General Manager of a Four Points by Sheraton in Manchester. Kelly has over 6 years experience in the Manchester market, 2 years in Merrimack, and three years in Nashua.

Kevin will attend Hampton GM school in January and is ahead of pace in hotel database work.

Construction Update

Work is progressing smoothly with exterior stone veneer continuing and anticipated to be completed before the holidays. All exterior façade work will be completed at that time. Only minor site work and landscaping will remain in the spring.

The interior of the project is running smoothly as well, with painting well underway in the guest room floors. Drywall is nearly complete with only the first floor remaining. The drywall is paint ready on all floors. The interior of the project is ahead of schedule. The contractor is anticipated to be complete by the end of April for our mid to late May opening.

Construction Update

The project is still running very smoothly.

The building exterior envelope is completely enclosed with windows and aluminum storefront complete. Siding is almost complete at the rear of the building and is underway on the sides and front. Cultured stone veneer has started at the base of the building and is anticipated to be complete by the Christmas holiday. Interior drywall has started on all of the floors and is anticipated to take 4-5 weeks to complete. The interior of the project is on schedule.
